The existing home was gutted, roof re-trussed to provide a higher vault and the basement walkout installed. We added approximately 2,000 square feet to the home with an oversized two car garage. We maintained the classic area style of craftsman both inside and out. There are two kitchens, both with gas appliances, two laundries, two mechanical rooms for the main/basement and the new addition. Some of the features not readily noticed are 5/8" sheet-rock, 2x8 walls between the garage and the home and fully insulated walls on the interior. Structural additions include roof trusses as well as double shear walls between the old and the new spaces. The 60" stove was a dream and Sunday morning breakfasts can rival Over the Counter! There are a few things I would have liked to do such as a potting shed, outdoor pergola, fire-pit and raised planter beds as well as a couple more hammock stations but you will have to make the yard an expression of your interests. Sod is being laid again since last years attempt failed with the dry weather. Sod will be laid prior to settlement.
