    South Jordan City or “SoJo” is nestled in the Salt Lake Valley between the Wasatch Mountains on the East and the Oquirrh Mountains on the West. Downtown Salt Lake City is approximately 18 miles from SoJo and the Salt Lake Regional Airport is approximately 19 miles away. South Jordan is proud of their beautifully maintained City. SoJo is currently the 5th fastest growing City in the nation and was voted one of the “Top 20 best places to live in America” in 2010, 2012, 2014 according to Money Magazine.

    Parks and Recreation

    South Jordan has more than 35 city parks, 2 county parks, more than 9 miles of trails, 3 fishing ponds, 250 acres of natural open space and boasts a variety of recreational fields and courts throughout the city. Providing a variety of parks and open space is among one of the City’s top strategic initiatives. Having a strong offering of parks boosts the local economy by drawing visitors from other places for league play, assists in the city’s goal to minimize negative effects on the environment and supports the habitation and of wildlife throughout the community.

     

    The Arts

    South Jordan City is committed to advancing the arts in all its forms within the community. The South Jordan Arts Council was formed to host and sponsor art exhibits and arts-oriented special events, as well as educational arts activities throughout the year. The South Jordan City Arts Council is a dedicated group of appointed volunteers that also offers small grants to a variety of performing arts and arts/education programs.
